Privacy Policy
Post-Box ("we", "our", "the app") is operated by Quick Broker Application W.L.L. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), and optional profile details you provide (display name, phone number, bio, profile picture).
- Content you save: links you submit and the media files downloaded from them, organized into folders you create.
- Usage information: daily download counts and storage used, so we can enforce your plan's limits.
- Organisation information: tags you add to posts, and share links you create (the link and its expiry date).
- Referral information: your referral code and, if someone invited you, who did.
- Payment information: when you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled entirely by our payment processor, MyFatoorah. We do not receive or store your card number.
How we use your information
- To operate your account: authentication, storing and organizing the content you save, and enforcing your plan's daily download and storage limits.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions through MyFatoorah.
- To send account-related emails: verification codes at signup, password reset codes, purchase receipts, plan expiry reminders, and security notices.
- If you use the caption translation feature, the caption text is sent to Google Cloud Translation to produce the translation.
Where your data is stored
Saved content is stored using Cloudflare R2 cloud storage, in a location isolated to your account. Account records are stored on our own servers.
Third parties we share data with
- MyFatoorah -- payment processing for subscriptions (Kuwait-licensed payment gateway).
- Cloudflare -- storage of the content you save.
- Google Cloud Translation -- only if you use the optional caption translation feature.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. It is required for the app to function and is not used for advertising or tracking. Your theme preference (light/dark) is stored locally on your device only.
Content you save from third-party platforms
Post-Box lets you save content from platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Snapchat. You are responsible for having the right to save and use that content, and for complying with each platform's own terms of service.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and saved content for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page (Delete Account). This permanently deletes your account, your saved content, and your share links from our systems. Payment details are held by MyFatoorah, and we may keep payment records where the law requires.
Share links
If you create a public share link, the posts in that folder can be viewed and downloaded by anyone who has the link, until it expires or you stop sharing it. Share pages are not indexed by search engines.
Children's privacy
Post-Box is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
